Friendship Club Social Skills Group

Social skills groups focus on developing and working on strategies for optimal socialization.

Therapists use a variety of play-based approaches, including the How Does Your Engine Run?® / Zones of Regulation to teach self-regulation and coping strategies within a social environment.

Learning such skills have shown to improve:

  • Teamwork
  • Problem solving
  • Conflict resolution
  • Listening skills
  • Perspective taking
  • Conversation skills
"This has been a wonderful experience for my child. Skills taught are exactly what she needed. Please continue this during the school year. Great job! Thank you!"
Parent at Capernaum

“Friendship Club” is facilitated by an occupational and/or speech therapist. Each course is specifically formed and implemented to meet the unique needs of the children in that group. Children develop life-long friendships and learn social skills that can apply at home, school, and in the community!
