National Home Visiting Week - April 20-24, 2026
National Home Visiting Week (NHVW) takes place from April 20-24, 2026, to celebrate, recognize, and honor home visitors for their vital role in improving maternal and child health outcomes, supporting families, and fostering community.
Capernaum provides home-based occupational, physical, and feeding therapy for infants and children who are:
- 0-3 years, medically fragile, complex health needs, immunocompromised, technology dependent.
- 0-3 years, going into a clinic would mean an undue hardship on the family (e.g., medical transport is not covered by health insurance).
- Children are not seen in the home for convenience’s sake. Reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- 0-18 years, post-surgery, short episode of care for 2-12 weeks, depending on the individual’s needs/circumstances.
- 0-18 years, medically complex children considered home-bound by their health insurance companies who need a Home Exercise Program update, Home Safety Evaluation, or have equipment needs. There are typically 2-3 treatment sessions.
