Feeding and Nutrition
Capernaum offers feeding and nutrition services in our clinic!
Capernaum’s feeding program provides a comprehensive approach to your family’s feeding experience. We offer direct therapy and nutrition therapy, as well as feeding tube weaning and/or feeding tube optimization.
With a team that includes your physician and qualified speech and occupational therapists, we will develop a feeding plan with a mutually agreed-upon end goal that addresses your child’s needs and capabilities and provides caregivers with strategies to support the process.
Areas of treatment:
- Advancing to new textures or from bottle to solid foods
- Tube feeding transitions–working towards full oral feeding
- Oral motor delays/deficits impacting oral intake
- Challenges with breastfeeding
- Oral intake challenges impacted by a medical diagnosis (e.g., prematurity, heart conditions, GI anomalies, tongue tie, neurological conditions, etc.)
- Dysphagia
- Restrictive/selective eating
