Here’s why our SLPs love what they do.
“I love being a speech therapist because I love finding what motivates each child and family to communicate more effectively. Each child I have worked with is so unique! Learning what they love (or don’t love) encourages them to communicate more, making every session more interesting. I also love the pride and joy I see in a child’s or their parent’s eyes when they figure out a new way to communicate, say a new word, or even say something more intelligibly. Being a speech therapist is very fun and so rewarding!” – Lindsey
“I love being a speech therapist because of the kids—seeing them communicate something they’ve been struggling to express is a reminder of why this work is so important. It matters not just to the child but also to their family and community. I love meeting kids where they are and joining in on their joy. Building rapport and establishing a relationship with the kids, providers, and families is one of the best parts of the job.” – Katie
“I love getting to experience clients discovering their voice, that they are heard, and that what they have to say matters.” – Eva
“I love being an SLP because I get to help children find their voices and connect with the world around them. Every small breakthrough, whether it’s a first word, clearer speech, or improved confidence, feels meaningful and rewarding.” – Hannah W
“I love speech therapy because I get to be silly and have fun with kids every day! I love that we can help support so many different skills in ways that work for each individual. My favorite part is building relationships with families and other professionals!” – Kayla
“I love being a speech therapist because I get to build strong relationships with those I work with and help give them a voice and way to be heard!” – Olivia
